From start to growth
In the past seven years, Qredits Curaçao has contributed by creating approximately 1% of the total workforce on Curaçao with 2,000 jobs. We have a portfolio of about 470 clients and have provided a total of 20 million guilders in loans to entrepreneurs.
On April 17, 2018, Qredits Curaçao opened its doors to support entrepreneurs in making their dreams come true. From our humble beginnings to becoming a driving force in Curaçao’s economy — we could never have achieved this without a fantastic team who put their shoulders to the wheel to help every entrepreneur reach their full potential and put Qredits Curaçao on the map.
Over the past seven years, we have witnessed many inspiring stories. From single mothers doing everything to care for their children to startup entrepreneurs who began with a simple concept and are now major players in their fields. Seven years later, we are proud of our role in Curaçao’s economy.
We recently celebrated our seven-year anniversary with our team and coaches, who have been key ingredients to our success over the years.
Qredits Curaçao had its first employee on March 17, 2018: Raiska Herrera, co-founder and Branch Manager. A financial expert with over 20 years of experience, she leads with social impact as her main motivation. With a background in commercial banking, she progressed from managing SME accounts to serving large corporate clients, and ultimately leading a social financial institution. As a leader, she combines strategic thinking with genuine approachability to foster team growth.
Today, the Qredits team consists of four people ready to assist our clients and support potential customers.
Our first location was on Caracasbaaiweg. A year later, we moved to Ser’i Loraweg, next to the former Giro Bank. After about two years, Qredits Curaçao established itself in the financial district on Schottegatweg East, next to Guardian Group. This new location not only offers better visibility but also allows us to position ourselves more strategically as a social financial institution within the community.
This move meant not only increased visibility but also marked an important step forward: the creation of a training room. This enables us to offer training sessions and presentations, providing our clients with a complete range of services.
